DUPLICATE_CONNECT_ERROR_EVENT indicates that the same PointPerfect credentials are being used by more than one device at the same time.
Each PointPerfect credential set (Thing/client ID + password) may only be active on a single device at once. When a second device connects with the same credentials, this error is reported.
To resolve it:
- Identify all devices or applications using this PointPerfect Thing (same client ID / username).
- Make sure only one device is connected with that credential set at any given time, or
- Change the password of the affected PointPerfect Thing in the portal to invalidate existing sessions, then update the new password only on the intended device.
