For ALL services, there must be an active Thing present in the portal. A Thingstream SIM will either have been added to your Thingstream domain by the u-blox Thingstream team, or you might need to add them manually using redemption codes provided when the SIMs were shipped.
To establish that your SIM Thing is present, login to your domain in the Thingstream portal, and locate your Thing in the Communication Services, Things List. Depending on how many Things you have, you can scan the list or search using the ICCID of your SIM Card (the ICCID is the long number printed on the SIM and starts 8944).
If you find your SIM Thing, select it in the list and a details pane will be displayed to the right. Ensure the Thing Status is 'Active' and if not, click 'Activate'.
If your SIM Thing is not present, but you are in possession of a redemption code, you can add it to your domain using that.
Login to the Thingstream Portal, from the sidebar select Services -> Thing List. Click on the 'Add Thing' button on the top right of the Things list.
The last tab is entitled 'Use a code'. If you select that you will be presented with the option to 'Redeem your Thing'. Click through and enter your redemption code.
Your SIM will appear in the list, if it is not active be sure to activate it.
If your SIM Thing is listed in your Thingstream domain and it is 'Active' and you are still unable to connect with it, or you don't have a redemption code please contact us at services-support@u-blox.com.
