For customers using u-blox receivers who require a faster time to first fix (TTFF), we offer dedicated NTRIP mountpoints that will deliver u-blox ephemeris MGA assistance data ahead of the PointPerfect Flex corrections stream.
The mountpoints are:
- NEAR-SPARTN-MGA for customers who need SPARTN formatted corrections.
- NEAR-RTCM-MGA for customers who need RTCM-formatted corrections.
When you connect your NTRIP client to one of these mountpoints, you will immediately receive live, global ephemeris for GPS and GAL constellations, which can be fed to your receiver to reduce your TTFF and enable your receiver to start sending valid GGA messages more quickly.
The assistance data is sent once on connection to the mountpoint, and the stream of correction data will automatically start once a valid GGA is received using the usual timeout of 65s.
The connected seconds counter used for billing will start on delivery of the MGA message as opposed to the start of the correction stream on the standard mountpoints.
Note that this feature will only work for u-blox receivers. 3rd party receivers will not be able to use the MGA formatted message.
