It can be confusing to see UBX-RXM-COR correction messages being "decrypted" but "not used". There could be two scenarios for this, which are further explained below. Scenario 1 is the usual scenario where the device is decrypting and using local HPAC PointPerfect corrections. On the other hand, scenario 2 occurs when there is a key mismatch or an incorrect plan active (IP vs. L-band). To fix scenario 2, you need to log in to your portal, verify that the keys match or switch to the desired plan, and then re-download the u-center config.
Monitor decryption status (Integration Manual)
UBX-RXM-COR message provides information about the selected stream, including its encryption status and whether a decryption attempt was successful or not. However, it is important to note that the success of a decryption attempt cannot be verified within this message. To confirm whether corrections have been successfully decrypted or not, please refer to Scenario 1 below.
Type - Subtype
Scenario 1 (Working as intended, normal behavior)
- Intend to use L-band corrections and are on L-band or IP+L-band plan.
- All Messages are being "Decrypted".
- Some Subtype 1 - x (HPAC) messages are being used. (Only local HPAC messages will be used).
- All 0 - x (OCB) messages are being used
Scenario 2 (Key mismatch or wrong plan)
- Intend to use L-band corrections but are on IP plan.
- All Messages are being "Decrypted"
- No Subtype 1 - x (HPAC) messages are being used
- Some 0 - x (OCB) messages are being used.
Scenario 2 Impact:
The solution will not go in to RTK float/fixed mode unless correct L-band keys are provided to the receiver. Please choose the appropriate plan for L-band corrections.
